A CBI spokesperson for the Central Bureau of Investigation of India stated that as part of its investigation into illegal coal mining, CBI conducted searches in five locations in Kolkata City (the capital of West Bengal).The Central Bureau of Investigation also requested Eastern Coalfields to provide detailed information on actions taken against illegal mining and theft of coal.The Central Bureau of Investigation conducted a raid on 45 locations on November 28, including 25 locations in West Bengal, to investigate illegal coal mining.This is a large-scale raid conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation in 45 locations in four states after a case against the suspected coal thief Anup Manjhi. The person was suspected of colluding with two senior managers and three security personnel of Eastern Coalfields. .It is reported that the search range covers West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.
